Stars...

Stars
by Sarah Teasdale

Alone in the night
On a dark hill
With pines around me
Spicy and still,

And a heaven full of stars
Over my head,
White and topaz
And misty red;

Myriads with beating
Hearts of fire
That aeons
Cannot vex or tire;

Up the dome of heaven
Like a great hill,
I watch them marching
Stately and still.

And I know that I
Am honored to be
Witness
Of so much majesty.

This post reminds me of Switchfoot's, 'Stars' song. Ever heard it before? I'm a HUMUNGO fan of theirs!!! :D

Prism-

i culdnt tell Mixed Bags was Christian book either until i reached the end, but ive read the next book in the series, and God is a main focus. i think they had the alcohol and stuff to attract non-Christian readers, then get them hooked on Christ. but we're already hooked on Him :)

hope this changed your mind about the carter house girls series and that you'll continue reading them!

lylasits,

@Emily: Thank you SO much!

@Libby: I so have! I love Stars, Awakening, Circles, and We Are One. I'm not their biggest fan, but I will say that they're so cool.

@Araken: Totally! The poem just made me think of the verse from Psalms 19:1: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."

God's creativity rocks. Nay, it rules. =D

God Bless,

~Prism~
