Welcome to the first, official Randomness Friday, which I have abbreviated "RF"! Those of you who weren't here Monday may want to take a look at this post to see what all of the commotion is all about.
You're probably wondering about the icon. This wonderful banner was created by Libby. Isn't it just AWESOME???
Several others have displayed some banners that they'd like to be the official RF banner. For the next couple of weeks, I'll showcase a different one every week, and let ya'll vote for whose banner you like best. Please note that this web address is: agirlofmanycolors.blogspot.com. If you exclude the "a", it'll take you to a blog that does not belong to me.
Now, for the participants!
The following have posted and are doing/going to do RF:
2. Just a Girl 4 God
Several others have expressed interest in RF. Just remember I can't add you to the list until you've posted! And if I've missed anyone, please let me know!
Now, with all formalities aside, BRING ON THE RANDOM!!!
I would like to welcome to AGOMC (A Girl of Many Colors), *cue applause*
Welcome, you two!!!
Okay, so I gave my first presentation EVER to a class of more than three people. It was a little daunting, yes, but I was more eager to get it over with than to let the nerves eat me up.
So I volunteered to go first.
This fact may not surprise ya'll, but I really surprised myself. I mean, I'm pretty shy and this was a big step. But, you know what?
It was so, weirdly fun! I have no clue why, but it just was...
I suppose I've discovered a new enjoyable hobby if you will- Public Speaking!
Yeah, one step at a time. I was told I did pretty good for a first timer, and it was pretty fun since I absolutely adore writing (dude, why did I start this blog???)
So yeah, there was the big event of today... It was pretty interesting, like discovering something new about myself.
(Btw, the presentation was in Science...I just realized I didn't write that...)
Last Saturday ROCKED. Artista tested for the red belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I got to hang out with my gal, who just happens to be a horse. Well, she's not MY gal, but you get what I mean.
You got it, the black mustang!
I didn't ride her, since I was only there for an hour (yes, an hour... it may seem long but it's not) so I decided to get over some minor fears here and there I had.
fears? Yep. Hooves and mouth.
Those terrify me. I'm either afraid a horse will kick me or bite me. I have no clue where this weird phobia comes from, but it's there and I dealt with it pretty well on Saturday. I spent the time grooming her.
It was really fun. I combed out her coat, mane, and tail until it shone line polished black glass. I spent time talking to her as I had read I should do, lightly touching her so she would know where I was at all times, and even braiding that mane, which is so like my hair. Totally poufy and tough.
I had a blast... Standing in the shade, whilst the wind blew our crazy hair about...
Just a time to show her that I'm not always there to pull a piece of metal in her mouth to direct her around.
Randomness Friday was made official, Tae Kwon Do rocked, I got to spend some time with an awesome equine, I did a fun presentation, and now I'm here, blogging away...
Yep, I loved this week...
