Review of Goodbye, Hollywood Nobody!

Goodbye, Hollywood Nobody by Lisa Samson is the fourth and final book about Scotty Dawn. You can see my review for the first two books here and here. Scotty and her father are desperately searching for Scotty's mother, who got separated from them when Scotty was very young. Charley is off to Scotland to be with her amazing, charming boyfriend, and Seth Haas, well, he's turned a corner and is now more like the guy Scotty knows and loves... that is, like a sister... sort of... yikes! When Karissa arrives at at the home for children where Scotty is volunteering, things start going crazy. When Karissa makes a huge mistake, will Scotty be able to forgive her and be "Jesusy extraordinary?"

Okay, loved this ending, although I'll admit the first book was the best. I loved how everything tied together in the end. Sometimes things don't work the way we thought or would have hoped it would turn out, but we can know God will use our circumstances for His glory. Scotty is still a character, with her unique sayings and actions. The story was a little boring at times, but a good message overall. As the story ends with Scotty's 18th birthday bash, readers will be extremely happy to see the story end in such a beautiful way yet sad to see the stories about Scotty end.

Only things are that there's an unwed mother and a guy who pledges to stay away from girls in the inappropriate sense and be a better man.

All in all, I rate this book four out of five stars. Recommended to teen gals!
