Review of Katy's New World

Katy's New World by Kim Vogel Sawyer is book one in the Katy Lambright series. Meet Katy, a girl from the Mennonite community who is introduced to the world of high school. Katy begins as a shy girl who only wants to learn more, but with the help of friends and family, eventually learns who she is.

Katy's New World is endearing story to be sure. I've been wanting to read this book for some time, so I was super excited when I finally got to read the book. Katy experiences the good and the bad of both of her worlds- the Mennonite and "worldly" sides of her life. She's the only girl from her community who goes to the high school, so Katy learns to adjust with the help of a new friend. She also helps her widower father at home with the chores and her aunt at her store. Readers get a glimpse into the life of Mennonites while also reading an enjoyable story with good morals.

All in all, I rate this book five out of five.

Sierra, it should have taken you there, but that's fine. It's my fault- I should've given you a direct link.
